In addition to the range of variations above, there are also a few speciality lifting trucks such as articulated counterbalance trucks, typically used in storage and warehousing which are front wheel steer unlike most fork lifts. Guided very narrow aisle trucks are rail guided enabling extremely narrow aisles ideal for storage and warehousing, whilst explosion proof fork lifts are used around chemicals, flammable materials, military and sometimes food and drink production.
